Inside the tomb of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, who for some reason is known as Mevlana in Turkey and Rumi in the West. This is in Konya, a notoriously conservative Anatolian city. The shrine is full of praying crowds, even though venerating saints is frowned upon in strict orthodox Islam. August 3, 2001.
