So-called "Cleopatra's beach" on Sedir Island in the Gökova bay. The Cleopatra connection is nonsense, but this is one of the best beaches to be found, particularly on account of the very unusual and fascinating sand. Visitors are required to shower so as to remove all grains sticking to them when leaving, and asked not to take any samples as souvenirs -- so as not to deplete the unique sand because of all the tourists going through.
