After zooming around the rest of the country, we returned to Istanbul for our last few days in Turkey. This is the gate to Istanbul University's Beyazit campus. A lot more impressive than what I'm used to in US universities. The Beyazit Tower, once used as a lookout point to detect fires from, peeks out at the right. August 17, 2001.
