Amy in Miletus, a little further down the road than Priene. Both are ports now landlocked by the silt deposits of the Meander rivers. Miletus was later (Roman, not Greek), and much larger, hence the huge amphitheatre. Little in Miletus survives, though. August 8, 2002.
